I’m Marina Mahnken, a Professional Home Organizer and Decluttering Expert proudly serving Monmouth County and parts of Middlesex County, New Jersey. With a deep understanding of how ADHD and chronic disorganization can impact daily life, I specialize in helping my clients overcome clutter-related challenges and reclaim their spaces. My mission is to create calm, functional spaces that seamlessly fit my clients’ lifestyles.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I now reside in Manalapan, New Jersey. I am a proud mom of three daughters (plus five cats!) and have been married for nearly two decades.
I founded Declutter My Clutter in early 2016 in Monmouth County as a one-woman business and grew it into a small team of six Organizers. In 2021, I relocated to Central Florida and temporarily ran the business solo, working closely with Florida clients in person as well as continuing to work virtually with my New Jersey clients.
After ultimately returning to New Jersey in 2023, I resumed solo organizing work – but as demand has grown, I’ve rebuilt a selective, highly trained, trusted team of Professional Organizers to help serve more clients across Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. While I still work one-on-one with clients during solo sessions, larger team projects are now often handled by my Organizing team, who bring the same realistic, judgment-free, and client-centered approach that defines Declutter My Clutter!
As a long-time Professional Member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), I have earned multiple specialist certificates in Residential Organizing, Workplace Productivity, Life Transitions, and Team Productivity. I also hold a Foundations Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization from The Institute for Challenging Disorganization, ensuring my approach is grounded in expert knowledge, empathy, and respect for my clients’ individual needs.
I approach my work with a unique blend of compassion and expertise. My goal is not to create “Instagram-perfect” spaces but to design realistic, lasting solutions that reflect each client’s habits and needs. By focusing on how people naturally use their spaces, I help clients achieve meaningful, long-term organization that enhances their daily lives.
When I am not helping clients, I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially during the warm spring and summer months. I like taking walks in Monmouth County parks, enjoying the Jersey Shore beaches, and nurturing my backyard garden, where I grow herbs and vegetables. Music makes me happy and my playlist usually features Tool, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell, Tori Amos, and Pink Floyd.
Don’t let clutter and disorganization hold you back and keep you from finding your things, enjoying your home, or inviting guests over.
